Business Zone Procurement
The Buyer Profile is a completely new enhancement to the Council’s Procurement Guide. It offers suppliers the ability to view contract announcements in real time. The Royal Borough uses BiP Solution’s e – notice service Project, for placing European Union and non – European Union contract notices. Project facilitates the publication of these notices immediately on this site giving suppliers instant access to the contract opportunities.
Background
The European Commission recommends in the Consolidated Procurement Directive that authorities provide their purchasing and procurement information via a Buyer Profile and this facility has been incorporated into the Council’s Procurement Guide. The Buyer Profile provides information on purchase plans, contact details, future, current and past contracts. By publishing this information the Royal Borough offers suppliers the opportunity to identify future procurement opportunities, respond to current opportunities and to view suppliers the Council uses along with the goods and services purchased.
