The Council's aim is to conduct business electronically and this includes the introduction of electronic tendering, electronic ordering of goods and services, and payment of suppliers. This will result in improved efficiency and a reduction in costs for the Council and its suppliers.
The Buyer Profile is a completely new enhancement to the Council’s Procurement Guide. For more information go to Buyer Profile: overview and background.

The Council, along with other London Boroughs, is currently piloting the ProContract e-tendering system, managed by DueNorth. This enables all stages of the procurement process to be completed electronically, including the submission of all pre-qualification and tender documents. Organisations interested in working with the Council should register on the suppliers’ site London Tenders Portal which will allow them to view current opportunities.
Please note: This is a pilot scheme at present therefore it is not guaranteed that all procurements will be tendered through the system in the future. Please check the Buyer Profile for all opportunities to tender.
The Council has produced an Implementation Plan to introduce the Council’s e-Procurement Strategy. The Plan should be read in conjunction with the Corporate Procurement Strategy and aims to implement all targets by 2009.
