PM10 Concentrations – annual mean

Predicted particles (PM10) levels for 2010

The map shows which areas are expected to be above the 2004 annual mean objective level (40ug/m³) in 2010.

With a few exceptions the annual average PM10 concentrations are predicted to be below the objective of 40µg/m³ across the whole Borough.

Concentrations away from the roads tend to be between 19 and 22µg/m³.

Along busy roads they rise to between 24 and 29µg/m³ and on major roads are more than 30µg/m³. Only small sections along heavily trafficked roads along the Westway, West Cromwell Road and the Brompton Road are shown as being above the objective level.
