Important: The 'Too Big for the Bin' service is only available to residents. Businesses and Commercial premises should see Commercial Waste.
A service is available for the removal of refuse, such as furniture, carpets and cookers, if deposited at ground floor or basement level, at a flat fee of £22.00 (inclusive charge for up to ten items).
There is no charge to residents in receipt of Housing and/or Council Tax Benefit. Items will only be collected from other levels, by prior arrangement, if the resident is elderly, disabled or there are other special circumstances.
Fridges and Freezers are also collected for recycling free of charge and harmful chemicals (CFCs) extracted.
If you have furniture to dispose of and you think it is re-usable you may want to donate this to Furnish who will arrange to collect the items for you. Please contact them directly to arrange this. See the contact details for Furnish : The Community Furniture Store.

The waiting list for appointments is generally one week although this does vary.
Payment for this service is strictly in advance. We accept cheques, cash, postal orders and the following credit and debit cards – Maestro, Delta, MasterCard, Visa. If you wish to pay by credit/debit card, please have your card to hand when you call.
