Comments about training service

Employers

The following comments are taken from evaluation forms sent to employers approximately six weeks after they sent staff on the Council's courses:

  • "basic understanding of subject"
  • "the training has highlighted the dangers of not following strict procedures during the purchase, storage and preparation of food for sale to the public"
  • "they know the rules"
  • "more competent and knowledgable staff"
  • "now I see the employees taking more measures in cleaning and food safety"
  • "use safe cleaning products, check regularly fridges and freezer temperatures"
  • "rota will be made taking consideration of employees with certificates on duty"
  •  "Continuous hazard analysis of food"
  • "Encourage staff to take other courses"
  •  "Make sure standards are adhered to"

Candidates

Below are comments taken from evaluation forms completed by candidates immediately at the end of attending the Council's courses:

  • "Excellent"
  • "A basic awareness of how to handle food in the work place"
  • "Absolutely reached my expectations"
  • "Achieved what I had expected to"
  • "Although I currently do not have much involvement with food preparation I found the course to be very informative"

External Audit

In March 2000, the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health found the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea's standard of training provision to be:

  • "Very good, with quality training materials and course management."
