House Tour

Leighton was planning the construction of his house from 1864 and he was in residence by 1866. His architect was George Aitchison. Together architect and artist would continue to embellish and extend the building almost until Leighton's death in 1896. The following floor plans of the house show the three main stages of development of the building. Click on each room to find out more about it.
