Helping your child to enjoy books
You can help your child to enjoy reading by sharing stories, rhymes and pictures. Remember, children can have their own library card from birth, and they don't pay fines.

The libraries have:
- board books for babies and very young children
- easy readers to build reading confidence
- a wide range of attractive picture books
- all their favourite characters, like Thomas the Tank Engine, Spot and Maisy
- simple information on the world around us, ABCs, nursery rhymes and counting books
- children's books in other languages including: Arabic, French, Spanish and Urdu
