IE7, 'phishing' and the Library Catalogue

If you are using the Internet browser IE7 you may find that the Library Catalogue site is flagged as a suspicious site. This reason for this is that we hide the Library Catalogue's IP (website) address and display only the Council's web address in your browser's address bar.

Because we hide our IP address IE7 flags it as a suspicious 'phishing' site. 'Phishing' (pronounced "fishing") is a way to trick computer users into revealing personal or financial information through an email message or website.

Remember the Library Catalogue is a safe site, you can use it with confidence.

For more information on 'phishing' and how to turn off the 'phishing' filter, go to Phishing Filter Frequently Asked Questions.

For more information about the Library Catalogue you can email information.services@rbkc.gov.uk.
