Council Tax is payable by home owners or occupiers. The money raised pays for approximately 34 per cent of the cost of Council services.
There is only one bill for each dwelling. The charge for each property is based upon its "band" value. There are eight valuation bands (from A-H) and the band which applies to your home is shown on your bill. See Band Values.
If you have recently moved in or out of the Borough, or your circumstances have changed, you can inform us by completing and printing the Change in Circumstances Form [PDF file] (file size 82Kb). Send it to the address shown at the top of the form.
