Greater London Authority

The Greater London Authority (GLA) is made up of a directly elected Mayor - The Mayor of London - and a separately elected Assembly - The London Assembly.

The GLA has responsibilities in the following areas: transport, planning, economic development and regeneration, the environment, police, fire and emergency planning, and culture.

The GLA's website serves both the Mayor and Assembly.
