Metropolitan Police Authority

The Metropolitan Police Authority was established in July 2000 to maintain an efficient and effective police service for the Metropolitan Police District. It is  made up of twenty-three members, twelve drawn from the  Greater London Assembly, four magistrates and seven independent members. 

Its boundaries are in line with the 32 London boroughs.
