Information Sharing and CAF Awareness

Course description

A half-day briefing for all managers and front-line staff within the borough who work with children and young people and or adults with parental responsibilities.

Who should attend?

The target audience includes:

  • Staff from Social Care
  • Education, Health
  • CAMHS
  • Voluntary organisations
  • Housing
  • Leisure services
  • Staff in adult services who work with parents, the Probation Service, the Metropolitan Police and Youth Offending team.

What will you gain?

At the end of this session, participants will:

  • Have an overview of Integrated Working and know where the CAF and Information Sharing fit within it
  • Understand the aims and principles of the CAF
  • Have an overview of the solution focused approach to common assessment
  • Understand why information sharing is important
  • Recognise the key principles in relation to information sharing
  • Have an overview of how the CAF and Information Sharing will be implemented within the Royal Borough

Further training

If you will have responsibility for carrying out Common Assessments, you will also need to attend the one-day CAF Assessor Training course.
