London Youth Games

Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea teams and age ranges

The London Youth Games is a London wide event that involves thirty-three London Boroughs in up to forty different sports.

Each year the Youth Sports Development Team co-ordinate a variety of sports teams that represent the Borough at the London Youth Games. Sports teams that the Royal Borough are looking to recruit young people for include those listed in the table below.

Basketball (Boys and Girls) 11 – 17
Canoeing 11 – 17
Cricket (Boys and Girls) 11 – 13
Cycling 11 – 17
Diving 11 – 17
Fencing 11 – 17
Football (Boys and Girls) 13 – 14
Disability Football 11 – 14
Hockey (Girls) 11 – 14
Judo (Boys and Girls) 10 – 17
Karate (Boys and Girls) 10 – 17
Gymnastics (Floor and Vault) 8 – 17
Gymnastics (Apparatus) 11 – 17
Netball 11 – 14
Tag Rugby (Girls) 11 – 14
Squash (Boys and Girls) 11 – 17
Swimming (Boys and Girls) 11 – 17
Disability Swimming 11 – 18
Table Tennis (Boys and Girls) 11 – 17
Tennis 11 – 17
Trampolining 11 – 17
Volleyball (Boys and Girls) 11 – 17
Weightlifting 14 – 17

Selection for some of these sports are from Club based teams, but there are also training sessions open for young people to try out for team selection in many of the sports listed above. These sessions start in the spring.
