Ethnic and Faith Community Development

Ethnic and Faith Community development

In Ethnic and Faith Community Development, the authors share some of the knowledge the Community Relations Section of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea have acquired through undertaking community development projects in partnership with local minority ethnic and faith communities for nearly 33 years.

The authors have sought to present the topic in a jargon free, practical manner that demystifies a process that has increasingly lent itself to academic discourse and scrutiny.

Making Organisations Work

Making Organisations Work

Ideas and theories about good management practice need to be embedded in real situations to determine their actual usefulness in the often complex reality of everyday organisational life.

In Making Organisations Work, the authors draw upon their 'hands on' experience of working with a range of organisations from diverse backgrounds. This wealth of experience is supported by a number of case studies in which the authors themselves were directly involved.

It is hoped that this book will appeal to a wide range of individuals in the not for profit sector, from practising managers to social entrepreneurs interested in developing skills in some of the key aspects of management in this field.
