The Community Safety Strategy 2005 - 2008 details a programme of action, including a vision, aims objectives and targets, to reduce crime and disorder in the Royal Borough over the next three years.
This strategy was prepared by the Community Safety Programme Board (CSPB). It was informed by the findings of Figure It Out, the audit of crime and disorder for 2001-2004, and the subsequent consultation process. The CSPB, which includes senior representatives from statutory services, is responsible for the delivery of the strategy.
The Crime and Disorder Act 1998 requires the Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership (CDRP) to conduct an audit of crime and disorder every three years and this is the third such audit to be published in the borough. The audit seeks to highlight the most prominent offences committed in the borough and to identify areas of particular concern.
Further analysis of the information presented in this audit will be undertaken to help in the development of approaches to tackle crime and disorder over the next three years.
This annual report gives an overview of the work of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea's Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership (CDRP) since the launch of its most recent Community Safety Strategy in April 2005, and the performance targets it has achieved.
