FeesFor the loan of tapes, CDs, CD-ROMS, DVDs, videos, and overdue items as well as photocopying, printing and reservations.
NotesMain lending, reference and local studies library for the borough.

Lending department (adult, young adult and children) includes books, spoken word tapes and CDs, language courses, videos, DVDs, CD-ROMs and music - CDs and scores. There are extensive biography and folklore collections (some are reference items).

Reference department includes all UK telephone directories, Open university collection, business information, genealogy collection, a European Information Point and a wide selection of periodicals.

Local Studies department includes Chelsea material and all council information, past and present.

Computers offering internet, scanner and word-processing facilities are available throughout the library. There are designated laptop use areas.

Children's Library offers a full range of resources, including:
  • Storytime (suitable for children up to 6 years old)
  • Baby Rhyme time (suitable for children up to 2 years old)
  • Study Support Centre (available term time only for 8-12 year olds)
There is a reading group.
