Making even the simplest changes can benefit the environment and
profitability, with cost savings on utilities and reductions in
waste.
Online resources, events, and help with documentation are
available to businesses wanting to reduce environmental impact,
and are offered by the Carbon Trust and Envirowise.
More intensive, hands-on support is offered through EcoVate, a
project funded by the European Regional Development Fund. The
project provides eligible London-based, small and medium-sized
enterprises 2-5 days of tailor-made, free, environmental support
and expert advice on how to make efficiency savings.
The Council's own transport team also offers advice, guidance
and access to free resources for companies wanting to make
efficiency savings through Workplace Travel Plans.
