Volunteering with the Community Engagement Team

The Community Engagement Team hosts volunteers and interns looking to gain insight into community engagement and experience of working within a local authority setting.

Volunteers come from varied backgrounds but all hard working, motivated and keen to learn. Each person who joins is allocated a mentor who helps them to focus on their learning outcomes and coordinats their efforts to contribute to the work of the team. Regular support meetings between the volunteer and their respective mentor ensure that there was always two-way communication and work planning reflects new learning.
