The Home Emergency Plan
The first responders to any emergency will be the people
directly affected. The aim of the Home Emergency Plan is to raise
residents' awareness about preparing themselves for an
emergency. It is available to download below and can assist you in
preparing and responding to emergencies. It enables you to think
about what you can do to minimise the disruption to yourself if you
were not able to get to your house, or you were told that you would
have to leave your house quickly due to a gas leak for example.
The Home Emergency Plan is not there to scare you or to make you
think that something is going to happen. It's here to raise
awareness and to make residents better equipped to prepare and
respond to emergencies, therefore minimising the disruption to
yourself.
