Preparing for the Games

With London gearing up for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in summer 2012, residents and businesses in Kensington and Chelsea should start to prepare for the impact the biggest sporting competition in the world will have on the borough: Preparing for the Games.

Celebration and local legacy

Here in the Royal Borough we are one of the official Olympic sporting venue hosts - with the indoor volleyball competition to take place at Earl’s Court and the road cycle race passing through the borough. We are looking to the Games to inspire change and to deliver a strong message of living life locally.

This could involve forging a stronger sense of community, nurturing a warmer welcome to our fellow residents and our visitors, or building a more vibrant place to do business. The Games are a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make a real difference to how we live our lives: Celebration and local legacy.
