Kensington Academy and Leisure Centre - Use of Open Spaces

The Council intends to develop the land to the west of the existing Kensington Leisure Centre for a new school for the communities of North Kensington.

The Council needs to make decisions about how best to use the site for the benefit of local people and of those that will attend the academy and use the Leisure Centre. In order to do this, we need particular information about how you use the existing open space, Lancaster Green, and how you move through the area. Please help us by filling in this survey.

Further to this, the Council will also be holding two consultation events, the first is a ‘Drop in’ on Saturday 20 November open between 10:30am and 4pm in the Grenfell Tower Meeting Room. The second is a workshop on Thursday 2 December at 7pm in the Lighthouse Centre, 111-117 Lancaster Road.

A leaflet has been produced by the Council "Your neighbourhood, your say: Events in November and December 2010" that provides additional information that you may find helpful. It can be viewed at www.rbkc.gov.uk/planning or phone the Planning Policy Team on 0207 361 3875 for a hard copy.

In order to know what new open spaces to provide, we need to understand how you use the open spaces that are currently there.
