Early Years publications
Leaflets and resources are produced by the Early Years service
to help inform you of the services available within the
borough.

early years age group. There are courses for first aid, child

training for registered childminders. Some of the courses
available include safeguarding training, behaviour and SEN and

Early Years Bursary Scheme
Following an evaluation of the success of the Graduate Leader
Fund (GLF) that ceased on 31 March 2011 The Early Years Service has
created a new funding stream to maintain their commitment to
investing in a high-quality workforce. The amount of funding
available is significantly smaller than in previous years. However
we are certain that our new local scheme will enable many of you to
access funds to support your ongoing professional development.
The Early Years Service bursary scheme will support early years
practitioners working in private, voluntary or independent settings
as well as practitioners in children centres and registered
childminders in the Royal Borough who wish to gain nationally
recognized graduate level early years qualifications.
Please make sure you meet the conditions for the bursary before
applying.
