The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has nine children’s centres; they each offer children and their families all the services they need to thrive and make the most of life’s opportunities.

Our children’s centres are situated across Kensington and Chelsea and provide:

Our children’s centres deliver a wide range of services and programmes for children and families. These can include registered childcare; creche facilities; drop-in, and stay and play sessions; health advice; and services to help you before and after the birth of your baby. They can also help with training or finding a job. Contact your local children's centre to find out how they can help you.

  • Latymer Family Centre has closed due to the long-term redevelopment of the Latymer area. Please visit the children's centre webpages to see where you local centre is. You can also find out about local toddler groups in the borough.

Babyhood guide for parents

Our new Babyhood guide contains lots of information for families facing challenging times with a young baby. It includes information on nappy rash, sleeping tips, teething, and ailments such as chickenpox.

Breastfeeding Welcome scheme

If you're a mum with a baby, it helps to know where you are welcome to breastfeed your child when you are out and about.  Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust has launched a Breastfeeding Welcome scheme throughout Kensington and Chelsea, to let breastfeeding mothers know where they will be made especially welcome.
