About the Family Information Service
The Family Information Service (FIS) delivers information on
children centres, play centres, childminders, nurseries and
other services. You can also gain access to
the family service directory, which contains information on
other family services. You can search for childcare
online, both in and out of RBKC, by visiting Directgov.
You can also request information by text message. Please
text 'Family' to 60777 with your name, contact
details (postal or email address) and what information you are
after.

Summer in the Borough 2010
The Summer in the Borough brochure published every year consists
of a programme of summer activities, events and courses for
children and young people from birth to 19. If you have not
received a copy yet from your school, support service, youth club
or play centre, contact us on 020 7361 4319.

Family Information Directory (FIDY)
The FIDY was formerly the Parent Know How Directory or
PKHD. The FIDY is an extensive online directory offering
parents and those working with them the ability to search for
information about childcare and family services in both their local
community and nationally. Currently you can access this
through Directgov.
This service replaces Childcarelink, which shutdown in September
2009. If you are unsure how to use this new service, please contact
us.

Full of Life
The Full of Life (FOL) Information Service has
been created to improve information for disabled children and their
families who live within Kensington and Chelsea.
The telephone advice line and email service
has been running since January 2010, where parents and carers can
contact the service for help and advice. The Information
Service is growing and will soon be launching a website and
information materials as a way to keep parents and carers informed.
Professionals and organisations can also contact the service to get
information or to advise us of new services available to our
families. It can also help to develop links with parents,
carers and other organisations.
