The Family Information Service have relocated from offices in Notting Hill and are now based in Kensington Town Hall.  You can still contact us using the email address and telephone number above, but to write to us by mail or to visit us please use the following address:

Early Years Professional Status

Kingston University is holding an Early Years Professional Status open evening on Monday 21 May from 6pm - 8pm. It will be held in room 245 at the School of Education, Kingston Hill Campus, Kingston Hill, KT2 7LB (not the main campus in the town centre). It is a drop in session but a brief talk will take place at 6pm to outline the programme.  

There is also a fully funded programme for parents and carers who are interested in developing a career in early years, please see the poster 'Looking for a new career' [PDF] (file size 901Kb) for more information.

Play Day (Friday 17 August 2012)

This year the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea is hosting a family fun day for all children and families.  Come and enjoy sports, games, face painting, bike riding, the Play Village, a BBQ, funfair rides, arts, rock climbing, spider mountain,environmental projects and lots more!

Childminder Profile Pages

The Family Information Service have been working collaboratively with childminders to design and create a personalised webpage to complement current lists.  In these pages, some have included pictures of their settings, testimonials, certificates of qualifications and much more.  To view their profiles, please click below:

'Get Connex'd' app

Central London Connexions have launched a new ‘Get Connex’d’ app for young people! It’s available on all mobile phones that have Internet access, and it’s free. Register with the app and receive updates and information on choices for under and over 16 year-olds, search for jobs, events in the local area, apprenticeships and volunteering, college information, CV and interview tips, and personal and money matters.
