Primary school admissions (reception class)
The new primary school
booklet [PDF] (file size 240Kb) is available from
early September each year. The booklet contains detailed
information on the procedure to apply and the criteria used for the
community schools. It will also have the oversubscription criteria
for the voluntary aided (Church) schools. As there are 26 primary
schools in the Royal Borough the booklet contains only
basic detail about each school. Further information can
be obtained from the individual primary school
prospectus which you can obtain from them direct.
The Royal Borough application form is available from all primary
schools in the borough and from the Town Hall. You
must only complete this form if your child is a Royal Borough
resident and is due to start Reception in the following
academic year. The form must be returned to the School Admissions
Team at the address below. You will see links below
for supplementary registration forms if you want to apply
for Church of England or Catholic
Schools. These are completed in addition to the main
primary application form and sent back to the respective school.
These forms are also available from each school from early
September 2010.
If you live in another borough, and would like to apply to one
of our schools, you will need to obtain the application form from
the Admissions Team in the borough where you live.
The closing date for applications is Saturday 15 January
2011 (children born between 1/9/2006 to
31/8/2007). You can also apply online from
Wednesday 1 September 2010.
If you would like to know more about the application process or
applying online, you can either email your query
to school.admissions@rbkc.gov.uk
or contact the School Admissions Team, Town Hall, Hornton
Street, London, W8 7NX on Tel: 020 7361 2210.
