Secondary admissions (primary to secondary transfer 2010)
The secondary transfer booklet and application form is available
from early September at all Royal Borough primary schools and the
Town Hall. You should only be applying for a place for your child
to transfer to secondary school if he/she was born between
1/9/98 – 31/8/99 and will be in Year 6 or
primary school from September 2009.
In addition to the booklet, we have produced a ‘Hints and
Tips’ leaflet, which provides you with important information
you should read before you make your decision.
If you do not live in the Royal Borough, and/or your child does not
attend a Royal Borough primary school, you will need to contact the
School Admissions Section of the borough that you reside. Click

It is important that you start considering the schools early as the
closing date is 23 October 2009 and late
applicants are less likely to get one of their preferred schools.
The secondary booklet
contains detailed information about the application process and a
section with specific information about each school/academy.
The national offer day is 1 March 2010. You will
receive your letter in the post on the morning of 2 March and in an
email if you applied online.

Please note that the banding test for Cardinal Vaughan

on the level of applications submitted.
