Environmental Services
The Council is committed to making the Royal Borough cleaner, safer, healthier and more attractive as a place in which to live and work.
Through the use of statutory powers and by working in partnership with others, we aim to achieve real improvements in the quality of life within the borough. This includes reducing waste, pollution and the amount of traffic on the borough's
roads.
All boroughs are required by statute to produce a Local Implementation Plan (LIP) to show how they will contribute to delivering the Mayor of London’s Transport Strategy, specifically in relation to the priorities identified. For further information see Local Implementation Plan: Strategic Environmental Assessment.
Climate Change Strategy
The Climate Change Strategy shows how the Council will lead, locally, both in mitigating the causes of climate change and in adapting to the effects that are likely to occur. The strategy also takes account of new legislation, new national government performance indicators, and growing public interest.
The North Kensington Environment Project
The North Kensington Environment Project is a project aimed at improving the physical environment, and increasing community involvement. Find out more about the project and how you can get involved by visiting the North Kensington Environment Project page.
Environmental matters – your green guide
