CIEH Foundation Certificate in Stress Awareness

What do these courses teach?

This course aims to raise awareness of the likely sources of work related stress, the range of symptoms and effects it can cause and the options available for control. The awarding body is the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.

What do they cost?

How long does it last?

It lasts for one full day.

Important: You are required to attend this course for 100 per cent of the time.

Who should attend? 

All owners of businesses, managers and employees.

What subjects are covered?

The course covers the following subjects:

  • definition of stress
  • stress as an occupational hazard
  • identification of basic workplace stressors
  • development of basic controls for work related stressors
  • responsibilities imposed under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974

What languages is the course run in?

English.

Are there assessments at the end of the courses?

Yes, there is an assessment by means of the candidates own work practices.
