Foundation Certificate in Health and Safety

Qualification changes

Please note. This qualification title has now changed to a Level 2 Award in Health and safety in the Workplace, to meet the criteria for accredited qualifications set by the Qualification and Curriculum Authority and agreed by various Sector Skills Councils.

The qualification title is pre-fixed by the awarding body’s title such as Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) or Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH).

Which examination papers could be used?

The Royal Borough can offer equivalent qualification courses and enter its candidates for examinations set by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and the Royal Society for Public Health.

The Council reserves the right to use any of the two awarding bodies’ examination papers at the end of the courses.

Does the Foundation Certificate in Health and Safety in the Workplace still exist?

No.
