Smokefree Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs)

One of the leading causes of fires in HMOs is smoking. A poster has been developed for landlords to display in HMOs, which provides information on the fire risks from smoking inside, as well as information on the NHS Stop Smoking Service, for any tenants who would like help and advice to stop smoking. For further information about this, and to download the poster, visit the Smokefree Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs) page.

Do you want to give up smoking?

Smoking is recognised to be the greatest single cause of preventable illness and premature death in the United Kingdom, killing around 106,000 people a year.
