Amenity Skips and Refuse Tips

Western Riverside Household Waste and Recycling Centre (also known as civic amenity sites or public tips) is situated at Smugglers Way, Wandsworth, SW18.

Please note: Cringle Dock Household Waste and Recycling Centre is now closed to the public dropping off waste or recyclables in a car.

The site is provided by Western Riverside Waste Authority, for the residents of Kensington and Chelsea, Hammersmith and Fulham, Lambeth, Wandsworth and Westminster to deposit household waste and recycling from their own residence, free of charge.

Important Notice: If you intend to use anything other than a car to take your recycling and rubbish to this site, then you must pre-notify Western Riverside Waste Authority of your arrival and provide proof of identity when you arrive at site.

You can check average queue times at the Smugglers Way HWRC and view indicative data (click on Average Queue Times in the top right hand corner) on the Smugglers Way website.   This will help you to plan your trip to the centre in advance, and avoid the busiest times.
