Notice period to apply for a suspension

We require:

  • five* full notification days, in writing, to suspend a resident parking space 
  • two full notification days, in writing, to suspend a pay-and-display bay
  • where chargeable days are not booked as cumulative, seven consecutive days are required between the end of an application and the start of a new one for the same location and by same applicant

*After 1 January 2014 you will need to apply for a suspension ten working days (Monday to Friday excluding holidays) before it is needed.

We need the following period of notice to suspend a:

  • resident parking space

If your application is received before 3pm on: the suspension starts on this day:
Monday The following Saturday/Sunday
Tuesday  The following Monday
Wednesday The following Tuesday
Thursday The following Wednesday or Thursday
Friday The following Friday

Please note: A bank holiday is not counted as a notification day, so you will have to give an extra day's notice.
