Public transport in Kensington and Chelsea
Underground
The Royal Borough is relatively well served by the London
Underground network, with 12 Underground stations, and the Circle,
District, Central, Piccadilly and Hammersmith and City Lines all
running through it.
Trains
The West London Line runs along our western boundary with
stations at Kensington Olympia and West Brompton. Shepherd’s Bush
and Imperial Wharf stations are nearby, in the borough of
Hammersmith and Fulham.
Buses
The Royal Borough is served by over 30 bus routes, enabling
passengers to travel extensively within Kensington and
Chelsea and further afield. The entire bus network is now
fully wheelchair accessible.
River travel
Cadogan Pier and Chelsea Harbour Pier (in Hammersmith and
Fulham) facilitate travel along the River Thames between Putney
Bridge and Blackfriars.
