Residents are being invited to volunteer to play the role of an evacuee/attendee in an emergency response exercise being organised by The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Local Authority Resilience Team.

Volunteers will be assigned character role cards to make the exercise as realistic as possible. The exercise will help the Council and partners, including the Metropolitan Police and Red Cross, to practice operating an emergency centre. This is used to support people during an emergency.

The exercise has been organised by The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea Local Authority Resilience Team to ensure the Borough maintains the capability to support our residents should an emergency occur.

A total of 50 volunteers are being sought. You do not need any prior experience or training, and anyone is welcome to volunteer. The exercise will take place at Chelsea Old Town Hall between 10am and 3.45pm. Volunteers will be asked to attend at 10am and 12pm for registration and an exercise briefing. Joining instructions will be sent to volunteers in advance. Light lunch and refreshments will be provided to participants.

If you are interested in volunteering, please register via the links below for the session/sessions of your choice.

  • Exercise Full Session 10am to 3.45pm
  • Exercise Morning Session 10am to 1.30pm
