The area between Trellick Tower and Elkstone Road, where the
Edenham Way Old People’s Home once stood, has been empty for some
time. The area is being used as play space and a temporary coach
park while the Council, working with the local community, develops
plans for the area.
Architects Levitt Bernstein studied the area to identify
possibilities and limitations of developing the site. Read
more about the work so far, and view some of
the display materials presented to local people.
The Council has now appointed Haworth Tompkins
as architects to design the new housing and get planning permission
in place. The architects are beginning to survey the site in
detail and come up with some initial ideas.
The architects showed some very early ideas to
residents at two drop-in sessions on 8 and 11 September 2014.
At the same time, planning officers at the
Council are developing a Supplementary Planning Document. This will
provide guidance and principles for development in the area.

Residents’ Association and Edenham Way Residents’ Association to
