Introduction

Your health and safety are very important, and there are lots of things you can do to keep healthy and safe.

A good diet and regular exercise can not only improve your health but make you feel good as well. Many youth organisations will have a programme of exercise activities and some now have fitness suites. In addition, many leisure centres have student and young people’s discounts so getting fit need not cost a fortune. If you are worried about your health, your weight or any aspect of you fitness, speak to your doctor or contact one of the local agencies shown below.

Another aspect of your health is mental health. While everyone can get depressed at times about things like exams or relationships, if you feel that this is going on for too long, seek help. Contact your doctor or one of the organisations listed.
