Drugs and alcohol - Introduction
While drinking alcohol is legal once you are over 18, it can be dangerous if you drink too much. Accidents and fights can be the result of drinking too much, while long-term damage can be done to your health. If you think you have a problem with drinking, are getting dependant on it – or if you have worries about others - contact the organisations below.
Drugs can be a wide range of illegal substances from cannabis, ecstasy, heroin or LSD. In this instance we are not talking about legal drugs prescribed by your doctor. Taking any illegal drugs can be extremely dangerous and could make you risk your health or even your life. You need to get reliable information and, if you think you have a problem, seek help urgently. Contact one of the specialist agencies below.
Students take part in competition to warn about the dangers of cannabis
A number of talented Royal Borough students took part in a competition to help raise awareness of the dangers of cannabis. They were each given £500 and a free rein over what form their piece of work would take.
