FeesFor the loan of tapes, language courses, CDs, CD-ROMS, DVDs, and overdue items as well as photocopying, printing and reservations.
NotesMain lending, reference and local studies library for the borough.

Lending department: (adult, young adult and children) includes books, spoken word tapes and CDs, language courses, DVDs, CD-ROMs and music - CDs and scores. There are extensive biography and folklore collections (some are reference items).

Reference department includes all UK telephone directories, Open university collection, business information, genealogy collection,and a wide selection of periodicals.

Local Studies department includes Chelsea material and all council information, past and present.

Computers offering internet, scanner and word-processing facilities are available throughout the library. There are designated laptop use areas.

Children's Library offers a full range of resources, including Storytime (suitable for children up to 6 years old)baby Rhyme time (suitable for children up to 2 years old).

A lecture theatre and meeting room and associated facilities are available for hire. A grand piano, theatrical lighting and projector screens are available too.
