Activities for young parents and their children - Introduction
Being a parent is probably the most rewarding job that you will ever do, but
it can be difficult, especially if you are single carer or young parent.
If you are a parent, there are plenty of places where you can get advice and
support but also places where you can talk to other parents and find out about
local activities, both for you and for your child. Try the links on the right
to helpful sites.
You can phone the Children’s Information Service for information about
childcare, early education, primary schools, financial help, and crèches.
They can also send you a copy of a booklet about services for children aged 0
– 11 which has lots of local information.
