Arts Networking and Training Programme 2009
The Council’s new year-round programme of free arts networking
and training events are suitable for both artists and arts
organisations, as well as relevant community groups. We hope that
the programme provides something for all, and will offer
interesting and informative professional development.
Networking
Creative and Cultural Sectors
Wednesday 8 July, 6pm to 8.30pm
Small Hall, Kensington Town Hall
Research commissioned by the Council’s Arts Service in 2008
revealed that the creative and cultural sector accounts for around
15 per cent of workplace employment and nearly 30 per cent of
business units in the Royal Borough of Kensington and
Chelsea.
The evening was a special event to present the full findings of the
research and to launch the new ten year plan for supporting Arts
and Culture in the Royal Borough.
This networking event was a great chance for colleagues from the
creative and cultural sectors in Kensington and Chelsea to meet and
network with key Council contacts working to support the
sector.
