Learning support

The libraries offer a range of services to help you continue your learning, whatever your age.  These include Learndirect courses and Exchange Group services:  Learning support.


Bibliotherapy is the therapeutic use of the written word to help people in any situation in life. This may include the treatment of illness or personal problems. It aims to improve access to self-help materials and bring people together through weekly reading groups where books are read aloud: Bibliotherapy.

Reading Well Books on Prescription

Self-help books can help people understand and manage common conditions, including depression and anxiety. Individuals with mild to moderate mental health conditions often use self-help books as an early intervention or additional treatment: Reading Well Books on Prescription

Kensington and Chelsea libraries provides books in many  languages other than English. Five of our libraries have books in other languages.
