Reading groups
- have you ever read a good book and been dying to talk to
somebody about it?
- would you like to discuss books in an informal and relaxed
atmosphere?
If you like reading and sharing your thoughts about books, then
a reading group is for you. We have reading groups for adults
and children (read more about our children's reading groups here:
Chatterbooks).
Reading groups give you an opportunity to discuss what
excited, moved or annoyed you about a book, in a relaxed and
informal atmosphere.
- the group picks a book to read or an author, to discuss at the
next meeting
- you may find yourself reading books you wouldn't normally touch
or recommending books that had an impact on you as a child or later
in life
- whatever book is chosen there is always a lively discussion
afterwards
- our reading groups are open to all adult library members
Looking for books for your reading group?
We have a collection of duplicate titles of prizewinning and
popular fiction and non- fiction books which can be borrowed by
reading groups throughout London.
