Ben Anderson - No Worse Enemy
Thursday 7 June, 6.30 to 8pm
Kensington Central Library
Author and documentary maker Ben Anderson will talk about his
latest book, No Worse Enemy, which covers his time spent with
British Forces and US Marines in Afghanistan.
As well as presenting clips from his films, Ben will discuss the
past, present and future in regards to the conflict in Afghanistan.
Has the government been telling us the truth? What will happen once
UK and US forces pull out of the country? Ask questions and join in
the debate.
How To Get Published with Juliet Pickering
Tuesday 19 June, 6.30 to 8pm
Kensington Central Library
Juliet Pickering is a literary agent with A P Watt, the oldest
literary agency in the world. She will be discussing the publishing
process and current publishing trends in the UK. Juliet will also
talk about the role of a literary agent: why an agent is necessary
and how to go about getting one yourself. The talk will be followed
by a question and answer session.
Ticket and booking details:
Tickets are £5 (£3 concessions) per adult event.
Tickets for adult events are on sale at all Kensington and
Chelsea libraries.
Payments in person or by post should be made in cash or by cheque

Storytelling sessions for The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee with
Diana Olutunmogan
Wednesday 6 June
Kensington Central Library: 11.00 to 11.30am
North Kensington Library: 2.00 to 2.30pm
Age: five to ten
Diana Olutunmogan is a professional storyteller with over a
decade of experience. She has written an informative and enjoyable
story about the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee which she will perform in
two of our libraries. There’s no need to book a place - just drop
into Kensington Central or North Kensington Library to hear this
wonderful story!
There will also be free Jubilee themed face painting available
before and after these sessions.
Customise a T-shirt Workshop with Eithne Farry
Thursday 7 June, 2.00 to 4.30pm
Kensington Central Library
Age: 11 to 15 
Are you passionate about clothes and accessories? Would you like
to create something of your own? Do you have an old t-shirt that
you would like to customise?
Then come along to our workshop and let Eithne Farry help you
transform your t-shirt! Eithne has made and customised her own
clothes for years and she believes she can easily teach people to
make or customise their clothes in a few hours.
There’s no need to book a place - just drop into Kensington
Central Library with a t-shirt that you would like to
customise.
