Membership

Image of person using a libraryJoining the library is simple. You will need to fill in the membership form and provide one form of ID with your name on such as:

  • driving licence
  • passport
  • bank card/credit card

If you are unsure about what documents to bring ask one of our members of staff or call us on 020 7361 3010 (your call may be recorded for training and monitoring purposes).

Please note: All applications for membership of children and young people under 18 require the signature of a parent or guardian.

How much does it cost?

It costs nothing to join and borrowing books is free. There is a charge for borrowing music or audiobook CDs, DVDs and language courses, but you may be entitled to concessions (please note that there are no concessions for DVDs). Concessions are reserved for those who are in receipt of benefits (excluding Child Benefit), who consider themselves disabled or for those over the age of 59.

How do I update my details?

If your details change you must tell us as soon as possible. You can email us details of any changes to information.services@rbkc.gov.uk
