Parks and gardens
The Royal Borough offers a diverse range of award winning parks
and open spaces. We boast three green flag standard parks and
annually enter and achieve excellent results in the London in Bloom
competition.
It is the Council’s policy to
maintain all its parks at an excellent standard, to renew the
infrastructure and to bring up to excellence any not now at that
standard.

Exercise in Holland Park
Fitness walks
Reap the benefits of an invigorating fitness walk in Holland
Park led by one of our qualified walking instructors. The
fitness walk runs on Mondays from 12.15pm to 1pm in Holland
Park.

Pushy parents
Do you want to shape up after having your baby? Our Pushy
Parents sessions in beautiful Holland Park combine brisk walking
and toning exercises with the chance to meet and socialise with

Health walks
Do you enjoy the company of other people? Would you like to take
up some regular and enjoyable physical activity to improve your

Additional Kensington and Chelsea walks
There are currently three walks in Kensington and Chelsea that
run all year round (some with exception of bank holidays). The
walks are all free of charge and open to all.
Please wear suitable shoes as it can get muddy occasionally and
please bring a rain coat. You may also want to bring a small amount
of money for a social tea/coffee at the end of the walk. The three
walks are:
Kensington and Chelsea North
- Canal walk - explore the quieter walkways of North
Kensington
- Day: Mondays, Time: 10.30 -11.15am
- Meeting Point: by bench in the entrance of Sainsbury’s car park
Ladbroke Grove, London W10 5AA
Kensington and Chelsea Central
- Holland Park - enjoy this beautiful park in the heart of
London
- Day: Thursdays, Time: 10.30 - 11.30am
- Meeting Point: outside the Holland Park Café, Holland Park,
Ilchester Place, London W8 6LU
Kensington and Chelsea South
- Battersea Park - walk along the river to this historical park
and back
- Day: Tuesdays, Time: 10.30am-11am
- Meeting Point: Pavement area beside Cadogan Pier at the
junction of Chelsea Embankment and Albert Bridge, London
