Sport and leisure in the Borough

We aim to assist and encourage local people to adopt a healthier
lifestyle by providing a range of sport and recreational
facilities, accessible to all parts of the community.
New health walk scheme
The Leisure Services’ Sports Development Team
has created a new health walk designed to improve your levels
of fitness and offers another chance for participants to socialise
with like-minded people.
This free health walk is based within
Brompton’s Cemetery and involves a one hour walk through the
historic and beautiful surroundings. Guide books and information
packs are readily available for those interested in finding out
more about the countless number of famous and intriguing people who
have been laid to rest in this tranquil spot. For more information

Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs)
The CASC scheme offers local sports clubs a number of financial
benefits including 80 per cent mandatory business rate relief,
access to GiftAid and exemptions from corporation tax.
It is designed to keep money in the grassroots sport sector and
help community sport and recreation clubs secure the financial
health of their organisations.
