Adult Paddlers
Adult fitness sessions
Adult kayaking fitness sessions take place on Wednesdays
(6.45-8.45 am) and Saturdays (times by arrangement) at Cremorne
Riverside. Sessions are aimed at improving fitness, stamina, boat
control and paddling safely on the tidal Thames.
To join the group you will first need to attend an adult
beginner course (see above), or contact the centre to arrange an
induction paddle which will take about two hours, so that we
can match you to the most suitable session for your ability.

Session)

Adult beginner courses
Courses are held from March until October, and are aimed at
introducing you to the sport of kayaking on the tidal Thames. The
course content includes an introduction to the kayak, boat control,
rescue skills and paddling in tidal conditions safely.

Course 3: July 30, August 6, 13, and 20
Chelsea Kayak Club
Formed in March 2010, Chelsea Kayak Club is a
friendly London club which has been set up to specifically focus on
sea kayaking and touring.
The Club meets during the week and occasional weekends for
paddling on the Thames from Cremorne Riverside Activity Centre in
Chelsea, although it operates completely independently of the
Centre.
Membership is open to anyone over the age of 18 who is able to
swim 50m in light clothing – please also refer to the club's

webpage for information on how to get started if you have no or
limited paddling experience or to answer any other questions you
may have.
