What is Learndirect?

If you want to improve your career prospects , increase business competitiveness or be in a better position to get the job you want, then LearnDirect may be able to help you.

Learndirect is a self-study course, which enables individuals to learn as and when they want.

What types of courses are available?

Learndirect offer courses in the following areas:

  1. Home and office Information Technology (IT)
  2. Specialist Information Technology (IT)
  3. Business and management
  4. Languages
  5. Skills for life

Most courses come in three levels; Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. The length of the course is based on hours.

In order to do a course, you must enrol at a centre. There are over 2,000 centres across Britain. The centre will be able to provide you with a username and a password, so that you can access your course from anywhere.

Where can I enrol for a Learndirect course?

There are a number of centres within the Royal Borough that provide Learndirect courses. Kensington Central Library work in partnership with Internet Exchange to provide Learndirect services.

Sponsorship

Learndirect is a government initiative run by the University For Industry (Ufi).

Ufi's learning services are being delivered through Learndirect, which provides access to courses on-line.
