Nova celebrates 20 years of IT training in the community

23 September 2003

Nova New Opportunities today celebrated 20 years of training in the community with the launch of their new website - www.novanew.co.uk

The Mayor of Royal Kensington and Chelsea Council, Cllr Buckmaster and around thirty guests, representing past and present students, the local community, and civic and business life, honoured the service Nova has provided to the unemployed in our community. Nova supplies IT training and support, maximising the potential of students in a highly competitive environment.

Speaking at the event, Iris Apablaza, Nova Coordinator said: "Over the past twenty years, Nova has played a significant role in meeting the needs of a developing work place. We are pleased to be making a further important contribution to the community and hope that the new website will provide an excellent resource for people who are seeking new skills.

"The official launch of our new website marks a special day for everyone at Nova, and it gives local political representatives, representatives from civic and business life, and members of our local community a chance to view the facilities we now have and share this joyous occasion with us.

"We are grateful for the support we have received from the local community throughout the years. Their support means that students are given every opportunity to fulfil their ambitions."
